Dr. Heller has served Ashland since 1980. He has taken hundreds of courses, studying low force adjusting, exercise rehab, and soft tissue techniques. He has written over 140 articles for Dynamic Chiropractic, a national trade journal, about low force methods, about exercise rehab, about diagnosis. (https://dynamicchiropractic.com/columnists/marc-heller-dc) He has taught throughout the United States, and in Australia. He organized and ran a local study group for 20 years, including other chiropractors, physical therapists, and MDs and DOs.
He is still working, part time, because he still has unique methods to offer, and truly enjoys helping patients and continuing to learn. AND, it’s still fun for him.
Over the years, he has used multiple methods to address muscles, tendons and ligaments- all soft tissue injuries. Besides Graston technique, Fascial Manipulation and more gentle soft tissue methods, he also utilizes the Wolf Piezo Wave 2, a form of focused shock wave, a non-invasive (no needles/no surgery) method which restarts healing in old injuries.
Early on, Dr. Heller decided that most chiropractic methods were too forceful, too sudden. He studied ways of moving the bones and muscles and nerves, that were gentler, including osteopathic muscle energy and counter strain. The goal, ease pain and restore mobility without aggressive adjustments. He prioritizes your comfort and well-being. He went on to write about and teach these methods to other practitioners. His methods recognize the deep connection between joints, muscles, and nerves—helping you feel better in a way that is safe, supportive, and lasting.
Beyond providing hands-on care, we believe education is key to long-term wellness. Dr. Heller is committed to helping you understand your body, empowering you with simple strategies to manage pain, improve movement, and maintain health. With a focus on practical solutions, we guide you toward a life where you feel strong, independent, and pain-free.
Dr. Marc Heller’s journey is deeply personal—he has navigated over 30 years of back pain himself, which has fueled his commitment to finding real answers for his patients.
Deborah Gordon MD
"Marc Heller has been my chiropractor ever since we moved to Ashland 15 years ago. He has over 45 years of experience, and his curiosity and quest to "know all the latest" has led him to accumulate thousands of hours of continuing education units, which translates to the most up to date techniques and care for his patients. His "no force" chiropractic techniques are gentle yet effective, and he takes time with his patients to listen, and then to explain what technique is best for him to use on them."
